The "Safe Swimming Program" that is created by Safe Water Sports and addresses children of 3 months old up to 12 years of age, was presented in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs, OAKA (Olympic Athletic Center of Athens ‘Spiros Louis’) and under the auspices of the Hellenic Swimming Federation and the Pan-Hellenic Coaches Association of Physical Education.


 

Safe Water Sports in collaboration with Pelagic Expo, the Ηellenic Association of Lifeguard Schools, the Watersports Association Greece & the Association of Diving Centers of Greece organized an event part of the exhibition named ''BOAT & FISHING SHOW 2022'' that took place from 10-13 March 2022. 


On Tuesday, December 14, Safe Water Sports was awarded at the annual AMVER Awards ceremony that was organized by the International Propeller Club of the United States, International Port of Piraeus in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Greece & the U.S. Coast Guard. 


On 9th June, 2020, the President of Safe Water Sports, Mr. Panagiotis Paschalakis met with the Deputy Minister of Education,Mrs. Zetta Makri, in order to discuss the need of educating children from an early age regarding issues related to safety at sea.


On the occasion of the National Day for the Prevention of sea-related accidents & drownings, the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy organized today a special event to present the actions that were implemented during the last year in collaboration with Safe Water Sports, that aims to strengthen the fact of prevention and the reduction of human losses in the aquatic environment of our country.


As the National Day for the Prevention of Sea-based Accidents and Drownings (11th May) is on its way, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and the non-profit organization Safe Water Sports, signed a Memorandum of Undestanding (MOU) to undertake joint initiatives to prevent accidents during marine recreational and water sports activities.
