WIND supports Safe Water Sports and the Union of Lifeguard Schools of Greece ESNE by providing technological equipment in order to detect and reduce sea-based accidents.

Specifically, with the aim of safety during summetime, the company offers technical equipment and services based on the new generation networks of high speed WIND 4G / 4G + and WIND 5G.

Στη χώρα μας, με τα 13.676 χιλιόμετρα ακτογραμμής, σημειώνεται ότι την τελευταία τετραετία (2017-2020) κατά μέσο όρο 349 άνθρωποι χάνουν κάθε χρόνο τη ζωή τους στο υδάτινο περιβάλλον, ενώ σύμφωνα με τον μέσο όρο της τριετίας 2017-2019, το 77% των θανάτων οφείλεται σε πνιγμό, το 10% σε παθολογικά αίτια, το 1% σε θανάσιμα ατυχήματα και το 12% σε μη προσδιορισμένα αίτια.

In particular, in 2020, 259 people lost their lives where for the first time it is recorded a significant reduction that occured grace to the legislations that were implemented in 2020.

WIND offered 500 smartphones and 500 connections at a reduced price and sent them to all the lifeguards members in Greece.
