1st Conference of the Sea Musketeers

 On Saturday, October 5th, the 1st Conference of Musqueteers of Safe Water Sports was held at the Neraida Floating Museum in Floisvos Marina.

The conference was organized with the support of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation. Deputy Minister of Education, Mrs. Sophia Zacharaki,addressed the conference.

In the conference, one school of each Prefecture that was distinguished for completing the water-sfaety online educational program of Safe Water Sports, was honored and awarded with the donation of an educational bag of Safe Water Sports. 
 
The children who attended the event participated also in a organized guided tour and educational program that was specially designed and implemented by the Neraida Floating Museum.
 
The schools that were distinguished for the school period of 2018-2019 were:
 
  • Prefecture of Attica: 1st Primary School of Agios Stefanos
  • Prefecture of North Aegean: 3rd Primary School of Myrina Limnos
  • Prefecture of Western Greece: 12th Primary School of Patra
  • Prefecture of Western Macedonia: Primary School of Avestopetra in Kozani & Primary School of Olympiada in Kozani
  • Prefecture of Epirus: Primary School of Eleousa in Arta
  • Prefecture of Ionian: Primary School of Spartila in Corfu
  • Prefecture of Crete: Primary School of Gournes
  • Prefecture of Central Greece: 8th Primary School of Chalkida
  • Prefecture of Central Macedonia:Primary School of Kerdyllia in Serres
  • Prefecture of Thessaly: Primary School of Larissa
  • Prefecture of Peloponnese: Primary School of Sperchogeia Messinia
  • Prefecture of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace: 1st Primary School of Komotini

  • Prefecture of South Aegean: 8th Primary School of Rhodes

 The goal of the ceremony was to  award the schools that completed the program successfully and to transform them into representatives of the program in order to ''transmit'' their experiences and pass their knowledge to other schools of the same Prefecture giving them the capability of borrowing the educational bag for a specified period time. 

Safe Water Sports Organization has educated-informed more than 40,000 students through the educational program.
